About:
On August 29, 2025, student-athletes from across all fall sports united for the DHS Fall Sports Snack Drive, supporting My Brother’s Table Soup Kitchen in Lynn, MA. Organized by Girls Soccer Coach Shawn Hills, who works part-time at the soup kitchen, the drive was launched after learning the organization was running critically low on snacks — a daily staple for those they serve.
Throughout late August, athletes, families, and community members dropped off snacks and packaged foods, with many fall teams contributing. On the final collection day, Coach Hills arrived with a large bread truck outside Dr. Deering Stadium. With help from student-athletes and visiting teams from the field hockey jamboree taking place that same day, the truck was loaded to the brim and delivered directly to My Brother’s Table. The Girls Soccer team marked the moment with a photo in front of the nearly full truck. This is the second consecutive year Danvers has led this impactful snack drive.
Danvers athletes also continued their strong tradition of service by supporting Operation Troop Support, gathering and sending care packages to U.S. service members stationed overseas. Through this initiative, students expressed gratitude to those who serve while gaining a deeper understanding of community responsibility and civic appreciation.
Additionally, the Girls Soccer program expanded their involvement this season by participating in both the Walk for Hospice and the Talbot Walk, demonstrating their commitment to supporting causes that touch the local community.
Together, these efforts highlight the core values that define Danvers Athletics: leadership, compassion, teamwork, and service. Whether on the field or giving back, the Falcons continue to soar — setting an inspiring example for student-athletes across Massachusetts.
