Each year on Veterans Day, the Chelmsford High School football program takes part in a meaningful tradition — a silent walk to Veterans Memorial Park to observe the ceremony honoring those who have served our nation. In this quiet yet powerful act of unity, players and coaches come together to show deep respect and gratitude for the men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms.
As the team stood alongside their community, they reflected on the true meaning of the day: honoring the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of our veterans and their families. Their service reminds us that the freedoms we enjoy are built on the strength and commitment of those who have worn the uniform.
A special thank you goes out to Coach Petrilli and Coach Harp, two veterans who are near and dear to the Chelmsford football family. Your service, leadership, and example inspire the next generation — both on and off the field.
To all veterans, we owe you our thanks, our respect, and our freedom. Today and every day, Chelmsford stands proud in your honor.
