About:
The Waltham Boys Hockey program continues to show that leadership extends far beyond the rink. This week, the team partnered with the Mite Youth Hockey program for a two-day community event that combined mentorship, teamwork, and giving back.
On Monday night, players joined the Mite teams for a special “Skate and Shop” practice — a fun, high-energy session where younger athletes skated alongside their high school role models. The ice was filled with laughter, encouragement, and a shared love for the game.
The next day, that same group came together for an even more meaningful mission: shopping for underprivileged children in the Waltham community. High school athletes assisted the younger players in selecting gifts, helping them understand the power of giving and the impact they can make on others’ lives.
This new event not only strengthened bonds between age groups, but also highlighted the spirit of generosity and community that defines Waltham Hockey.
