About:
The Student Council demonstrated outstanding leadership and generosity this season by organizing a successful first-ever toy drive, making a meaningful impact on local families in need. Through this student-led initiative, dozens of toys were collected and donated to the Westford Police Department, helping ensure children in the community experienced joy during the holiday season.
Student Council members took an active role in selecting gifts for children up to age 15, thoughtfully choosing items that would bring comfort and excitement. The hands-on experience allowed students to see the direct impact of their efforts while reinforcing the importance of service, empathy, and teamwork.
The toy drive was part of a broader series of community-focused initiatives led by Student Council, including the Holiday Bazaar and Trunk or Treat. Together, these events created opportunities for students to connect with families, support community partners, and build traditions rooted in giving back.
These efforts highlight the power of student leadership and the positive influence young people can have when they take initiative. By organizing and leading multiple service projects, Student Council set a strong example of what it means to serve with purpose—proving that their impact extends far beyond the classroom.
