About:
At Franklin High School, students are coming together to prove that athletics can be a powerful force for connection, awareness, and change.
In partnership with Active Minds and the school’s Unified Basketball program, FHS is hosting a special charity game in support of KyleCares—an event dedicated to raising awareness and supporting mental health initiatives for students.
Set for November 24, this game is about far more than basketball. It’s about creating a space where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to have open conversations around mental health. By encouraging the community to “wear green,” the event symbolizes unity, hope, and a shared commitment to breaking the stigma.
The collaboration between student-led groups and Unified Sports highlights the strength of inclusive, purpose-driven athletics. It brings together students of all abilities while reinforcing a powerful message: when we show up for one another, we create real impact.
Events like this demonstrate the true meaning of education-based athletics—where leadership, inclusion, and advocacy come together to make a difference that extends well beyond the court.
