Quakers Help Spread Awareness
PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections) are conditions associated with the sudden onset of neuropsychiatric symptoms in children.
By recognizing World PANS/PANDAS Awareness Day, Orchard Park Football helped bring attention to these often misunderstood conditions and the families navigating them.
The awareness campaign also included a special initiative at Niagara Falls, which was illuminated green in recognition of the day. Supporters were invited to gather at Terrapin Point on Goat Island as part of the #LightUp4PANS movement.
