About:
The Mahopac High School Field Hockey team took the field for a cause bigger than the game on September 22, 2026, dedicating its matchup against White Plains to raising awareness for student-athlete mental health in support of Morgan’s Message.
Although Mahopac fell 7–0 to White Plains, the evening was about more than the final score. The team used the opportunity to bring attention to the importance of mental health and supporting student-athletes both on and off the field.
Raising Awareness Through Morgan’s Message
By representing Morgan’s Message, an organization dedicated to eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health in student-athlete communities, Mahopac Field Hockey helped highlight the importance of emotional well-being and encouraging open conversations.
The initiative reminded players, families, and supporters that an athlete’s mental health matters just as much as their performance in competition.
The team also expressed appreciation to everyone who supported the special awareness game.
