About:
This November, PM SAAC is turning gratitude into action through a month-long initiative focused on kindness, service, and community impact.
With four meaningful projects planned throughout the month, SAAC is encouraging Raiders to give back, support others, and show appreciation both داخل the school community and beyond. From honoring veterans to collecting food and toys for local families, the program reflects the power of student leadership and service.
Four Ways Raiders Are Giving Back
As part of “November Is Our Month of Gratitude,” PM SAAC has launched four special initiatives designed to make a positive difference:
Operation Thank You
Student-athletes are invited to write letters or thank-you cards to veterans in recognition of their service and sacrifice. At the end of the month, the cards will be delivered to a local veterans home to brighten residents’ days and remind them how much they are appreciated.
Raiders Give Thanks
PM SAAC is hosting a food drive throughout November, collecting nonperishable food items to support local families through a community food pantry. Every donation will help provide essential support to neighbors in need.
Raider Toy Collection
Looking ahead to the holiday season, SAAC is collecting new, unwrapped toys throughout November and December. The donated toys will help bring holiday cheer to local children and families in the community.
Raider Gratitude Wall
A new Gratitude Wall will soon appear in the Spin Hallway, creating a space where students and staff can share what they are thankful for. Whether it’s a teammate, a teacher, a loved one, or a simple everyday blessing, the wall will serve as a celebration of positivity, kindness, and appreciation.
Encouraging Participation Through Raider Points
To help inspire even more involvement, each of the November service initiatives also counts toward Raider Points:
- 1 Raider Point for each thank-you card or letter
- 1 Raider Point for each nonperishable food item donated
- 3 Raider Points for each new toy donation
This creative approach encourages student participation while reinforcing the importance of service, gratitude, and community involvement.
Gratitude in Action
By organizing projects that support veterans, local families, and children in need, PM SAAC is showing that gratitude is about more than words — it’s about action.
These initiatives are giving Raiders the opportunity to make a real difference while strengthening their school community and supporting others during the holiday season.
A big congratulations to PM SAAC and all of the Raiders participating in these efforts! Their commitment to kindness, service, and gratitude is a wonderful example of students using their platform to create positive change in their community.
