Members of the Carle Place Key Club participated in a Bowlathon at Herrill Lanes in New Hyde Park to raise awareness for Pediatric Cancer and to raise funds for Penelope’s Odyssey. Penelope’s Odyssey is an Oceanside based organization that aims to provide social and emotional support for children and families battling
pediatric cancer. The organization also hosts local bone marrow registry drives. On September 21, 2010, Penelope was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at the age of three years. The organization was founded by Penelope’s mother and father. Fortunately Penelope is a survivor and her family aims to make a
difference in the lives of other pediatric cancer warriors through this amazing foundation.
