More than 300 Cherry Lane Elementary School kindergarten through second-grade students walked around the high school track to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In honor of its 20th year, each of the Carle Place School District’s schools participated in the walk on May 18. To date, the district has collected a total of more than $100,000 over the years, for the cause.
