Members of Connolly School’s student council organized the school’s seventh annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk-a-Thon on Oct. 14.
Dressed in pink for the event, students and faculty walked around the school building perimeter with colorful banners and signs they created to raise awareness.
In all, the students collected $835 through pledges. The funds will be donated to Glen Cove C.A.R.E.S, a not-for-profit agency that provides assistance to residents of Glen Cove and neighboring communities coping with the crisis of cancer.
