About:
It was a day filled with energy, inclusion, and community pride as Medway High School hosted the 5-Towns Special Olympics event, bringing together student-athletes, volunteers, and staff from across the region.
With participation from Medfield, Medway, Holliston, Millis, and surrounding communities, the event showcased the power of athletics to unite individuals of all abilities in a shared experience rooted in support and celebration.
Student-athletes played a key role in making the day a success—volunteering their time, encouraging participants, and helping to create an environment where every athlete felt valued and included. From organizing activities to cheering on competitors, their leadership and enthusiasm were evident throughout the event.
Events like this go far beyond competition. They build confidence, foster connection, and create lasting memories for everyone involved. The collaboration between schools, coaches, and community members highlights what’s possible when athletics is used as a platform for inclusion and impact.
A special thank you to all the student-athletes, volunteers, and staff who made this event such a meaningful experience. Their efforts continue to inspire and strengthen the community—on and off the field.
