Event Type: Health & Medicine

Sport: Field Hockey

Date: October 12, 2022

Location:
Agawam High School
Cooper Street, Agawam
MA

About:

Student-athletes chose to give independently to support our former player in her Lupus walk and the team has banded together to continue to support the Cancer House of Hope a local organization that provides cancer services to the local community.
Friday evening October 14th Agawam Field Hockey will be hosting a pink game to raise funds for the Cancer House of Hope. Agawam will be wearing hot pink socks and the stadium will be decorated. We welcome Minnechaug field hockey to play for pink that evening and support the cause by playing for a cure.

Our entire program of 33 girls and the Minnechaug Regional High School program will be participating in the pink game on Friday.
Donations are welcomed by patrons and we will have giveaways and a 50/50 raffle.
We will also have our fall cleanup at the Cancer House of Hope on Wednesday, October 19th from 2:30-4:30pm. 19 of the varsity players will be participating.

In December the field hockey program will team up with the CHH to provide community service and assist in the setup of the CANCER HOUSE OF HOPE LUMINARIA FUNDRAISER. Last year the luminaria event raised $20,000 for the house.

I am very pleased the team has continued their partnership and support of the CHH. I am also pleased the team has come forward and supported the CHH.
