About:
The Ayer Shirley Volleyball teams decided to make cards thanking healthcare workers and other members of the Nashoba Valley Medical Center for their pay-it-forward 9/11 day. The girls all thought it was necessary to thanks these hard-working people for their selflessness and service without thinking of themselves. There are three teams who play volleyball with the schools including girls from grades 8 through 12, about 35 girls in total. These girls stayed after school and went home and created thank you cards the week prior for a few hours total, for the day of service. Four of the seniors and one junior on the varsity team drove to the Medical Center on 9/11 to deliver the cards.
