This annual event offers free skating opportunities to the local community. As part of their commitment to support the Homeless Veterans Shelter, BHS athletes collect canned food and toiletries for veterans.
The day after the girls’ skating event, which also serves as a community service initiative where they donate skates, provide access to ice, and distribute goodies to the local youth, they carefully package everything and deliver it to the Veterans Center in Hyannis. During this visit, the girls have the opportunity to meet a local veteran and gain insights into the challenges faced by individuals who have made significant sacrifices for their country. Both the girls and the veterans eagerly anticipate this yearly gathering.
