About:
The Blackstone Valley Tech Volleyball program brought their community together for a powerful cause during their annual Dig Pink event—turning a night of volleyball into meaningful impact.
Held in support of the Side-Out Foundation, the event focused on raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research, specifically targeting metastatic breast cancer.
A Team Effort with Big Impact
The event saw incredible participation, with approximately 50 student-athletes taking part and an additional 12 students helping to organize and run the event. Together, they created an engaging and energetic atmosphere that extended beyond the game itself.
The night featured:
- A competitive volleyball match
- A community bake sale
- A fun and interactive “Chuck-a-Duck” fundraiser
All combined, these efforts helped raise over $800 for breast cancer research.
More Than a Game
The Dig Pink initiative is about more than volleyball—it’s about community, compassion, and coming together to support those affected by breast cancer. By wearing pink and dedicating their efforts to this cause, the team helped spread awareness while making a tangible difference.
Serving a Greater Purpose
Blackstone Valley Tech Volleyball continues to exemplify what it means to be student-athletes—using their platform to give back and rally others around important causes.
Because sometimes, the most meaningful wins happen off the court.
