About:
The Boys Lax team partnered with My Brother’s Keeper this past Saturday. We had 6 vehicles worth of players and parents (and some girls’ players and the head coach from Norton High School as well!). We picked up food from the warehouse and delivered to 4 or 5 houses per vehicle. It was such a great experience for all of the kids. They were able to help people in need and interact with them as well. We are definitely planning on doing it again this year.
It was a great opportunity for the kids to see how they can help those in need and what huge difference they can make.
We had 20 of the boys from Feehan and a couple of parents. And, since my wife is the girls’ coach at Norton High School, we also had her and a couple of her players as well. We left practice at 8:00am and met over at My Brother’s Keeper at 8:45. I don’t know exactly what time all the deliveries were completed, but it was within a couple of hours, so the total commitment was about 3 hours each.
It was so good that we are going to do it again.
