About:
The Full Court Charity Challenge supports Nashoba Learning Group and Mass General Hospital’s Lurie Center for Autism. This is the 22nd year of the tournament. The event is organized and run by Bob Forlenza.
The Nashoba Learning Group’s school provides education, training and intervention services for their students ages 3-22 and they also have a program providing ongoing support to adults with Autism.
The Lurie Center for Autism is a clinical, research, training and advocacy program dedicated to treating individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disorders.
The actual event is a basketball tournament held at the BU Rec center.
Many local former high school and college players participate in the tournament. Typically there are 2 divisions(Corporate and Open) with 10-12 teams per division.
There were 5 players from this year’s varsity team volunteering. They each worked 6 hours on Saturday March 11th.
We also had former players/coaches sponsoring teams, supporting and playing in the tournament.
