About:

On Thursday, Sept. 30th the Varsity and Junior Varsity Girls Soccer Teams put on a soccer clinic for Danvers Youth Soccer.  We set up 4 stations (small sided game / scrimmage, shooting, dribbling and passing) for the grade 3 / 4 athletes to rotate through with their Teams.
Upon arrival, the youth players joined the older girls in their full, dynamic warm up.  Afterwards, Coach Hinchion organized a large game of “Soccer Stuck in the Mudd” for the entire group to enjoy and participate in.  From there, the high school players were divided into 5 groups.  4 of the groups worked the stations mentioned above.  The 5th group, made up mostly of seniors and juniors acted as Team Leaders and rotated through the stations with the young players.
After everyone had taken part in all 4 stations, the whole group did a “Cool Down” together and ended with a Cheer together.  All in all, 38 high school athletes and over 50 youth players took part in an awesome evening.  There were tons of smiles and lots of laughter and the youth players made some new older friends to look up to.
This is an event that we plan to hold annually and we look forward to it again next year!
