About:
This October, Duxbury High School Football is taking a stand against breast cancer and invites the entire school community to join in their efforts. As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the team is raising funds and awareness for women battling the disease by encouraging students and fans to “GO PINK” for a great cause.
Partnering with the Karen Wellington Foundation, the football team is raising money to bring lightness and hope to women fighting breast cancer. While the total amount raised will be announced during the game on Friday night, the community is encouraged to get involved now by purchasing a Duxbury Pink Ribbon shirt.
Here’s how you can support:
What: Purchase a Duxbury Pink Ribbon Shirt (available in long-sleeve wicking shirts in grey or pink)
When: Tuesday, 10/15 through Friday, 10/18 during lunch periods in the cafeteria
Price: $25 (Cash, checks payable to Duxbury Gridiron, or Venmo accepted)
Proceeds will benefit the Karen Wellington Foundation, which provides special vacations, spa days, and memorable experiences for women and families affected by breast cancer.
PINK OUT Game: Don’t forget to wear your Pink Ribbon shirt to the Duxbury vs. Silver Lake game on Friday, October 18th, as the game will be dedicated to honoring and supporting women in their fight against breast cancer.
Let’s come together to show our support and make a difference!
