It’s officially that time of year again — when our community comes together to support local families and rally behind a powerful Red & Gray tradition. Fitchburg Athletics has kicked off its annual Thanksgiving Rivalry Food Drive, a spirited challenge against Leominster High School that brings out the very best in our student-athletes, families, and supporters.
For the third year in a row, The Red & Gray are determined to retain the coveted Food Drive Trophy — but more importantly, they’re committed to making a meaningful impact for neighbors in need during the holiday season.
This year’s drive features an easy list of high-demand items that can make a real difference for local households. Donations include breakfast staples like Pop-Tarts, cereal, granola bars, and oatmeal packets; lunch and dinner essentials such as noodles, raviolis, canned soup, mac and cheese, tuna, rice packets, pasta, sauce, and canned chicken; and plenty of kid-friendly snacks like Goldfish, crackers, canned fruit, and fruit snacks.
Students can drop off items with Mrs. Morand (Room 325) or their class advisors, and every donation counts toward both community impact and the friendly competition with Leominster.
