About:
Franklin High School’s cross country and track & field programs helped spread holiday cheer by supporting the annual Toys for Tots toy drive, encouraging the community to give back during the final weeks of the collection.
Led by Coach Bailey, Franklin student-athletes, families, and supporters were invited to donate new, unwrapped toys to help bring joy to children and families in need throughout the holiday season. With limited time remaining in the drive, each contribution played a meaningful role in ensuring toys reached local children in time for the holidays.
This annual initiative reflected the continued commitment of Franklin cross country and track & field to service and community involvement, demonstrating how athletics can extend their impact beyond competition. By uniting around a shared cause, student-athletes used their platform to support a program rooted in generosity, compassion, and community care.
As part of the winter season effort, members of the Franklin High School girls’ and boys’ winter track and field teams collected and donated toys that were delivered by team captains to Vendetti Motors. From there, Vendetti Motors transported the donations to the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots office, where the toys were distributed to children and families in need.
Through teamwork and service, Franklin student-athletes once again demonstrated that their impact reaches far beyond the track—helping make the holiday season brighter for their community.
