As part of our team community service project we hosted a Dig Pink Game and the girls wore pink to signify their support for breast cancer awareness month. We had a Bake sale and a 50/50 raffle with proceeds being donated to the Side Out Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports metastatic breast cancer research. We were able to raise $313 that will be donated to the Side Out Foundation.
We have 43 girls on the team, our 7 seniors coordinated getting posters & decorations for the gym a long with getting baked goods. Both games were about 2 hours and the seniors with the the rest of the team spent time with promotion of game and playing spent a few more hours as well.
