About:
The Hiller Hockey program demonstrated the power of student leadership through a toy drive that was entirely initiated, organized, and executed by the team’s student-athletes.
Players took ownership of every aspect of the effort—from organizing toy drop-off locations at home games and throughout the school, to promoting the drive on social media. The athletes created all of the promotional content themselves, using their voices and platforms to rally peers, families, and the school community around the cause.
Once collected, the gifts were personally delivered by the team to Project Just Because in Hopkinton, ensuring the donations directly supported local families in need. The hands-on approach allowed students to see the full impact of their efforts, from planning and outreach to final delivery.
This initiative highlights the leadership, creativity, and sense of responsibility shown by Hiller Hockey student-athletes. By taking the lead on a meaningful service project, they proved that teamwork and commitment extend far beyond the rink—and that student-driven efforts can create real community impact.
