This past weekend, the Hopkinton Hillers Cross Country team exemplified dedication both athletically and in service. After competing the day before, most of the team volunteered early at the Title IX Triathlon at Hopkinton State Park, helping with water stops and directing runners for about four hours. They also proudly supported former captain Kayla McCann, who placed 5th overall and won her age group.
This marks their second service event this year, following a day at the Community Harvest Project in Grafton. Additionally, the team is set to volunteer at the town’s Family Day, organizing kids’ races with the Girl Scouts.
The team’s spirit of giving back while balancing their own athletic goals continues to inspire both on and off the course.
