About:
Bishop Feehan Boys Varsity Hockey turned game day into a powerful tribute, hosting its Hockey for Heroes Dedication Game against Archbishop Williams at New England Sports Village.
The afternoon centered on gratitude and respect as Bishop Feehan Hockey proudly honored first responders and military personnel for their dedication, sacrifice, and service to the community and country. Before puck drop, the arena paused for a moving pregame ceremony that underscored the event’s meaning.
The National Anthem was beautifully performed by Caroline O’Neil, a member of the Bishop Feehan High School Class of 2029, while the Tolman JROTC presented the Colors of the United States, adding to the pride and significance of the moment.
More than just a matchup on the ice, the Hockey for Heroes Dedication Game reflected Bishop Feehan’s commitment to using athletics as a platform for leadership, service, and community appreciation. It was a meaningful reminder that high school sports can honor those who serve while bringing people together around values that extend far beyond the final score.
