Holbrook Athletics proudly partnered with the Kyle Johnson Foundation to support mental health awareness, launching their first-ever Mental Health Awareness Game on September 23. Both the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams participated, with the boys facing Norfolk Aggie at 3:30 PM and the girls playing against Fontbonne at 5:00 PM.
The event was about more than just athletic competition—it represented Holbrook’s commitment to raising awareness and supporting mental health in the community. To further promote the cause, Holbrook Athletics hung a banner from the Kyle Johnson Foundation on the fencing surrounding the turf field, and the athletic department provided the players with green socks to wear during the game. The school staff and students were also encouraged to wear green throughout the day to show their support.
This powerful initiative is still in its early stages, but Holbrook plans to continue the tradition for years to come. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who came out to cheer on the Bulldogs and support this meaningful cause, both on and off the field!
