About:

I work with a group of students in a group called the Jr. Boosters. They are a group of student athletes that volunteer their time and work on community
events. They also try to build the spirit in their school and within their community.  The color run was our first community event this school yearI, we work on many
throughout the year to help within our school community.
This was our second color run that we put together as a community event. Our athletes / jr. boosters volunteered their time for this community service
event. We are donating funds to our community food relief program. We are also working on an event called Winterfest, which is a vendor/craft fair and our Jr. Boosters/athletes
will be donating to the Holiday coalition and also for community help during the holidays.
The color run itself was fairly easy to put together. The kids made up the flyers and a google sign up sheet. They spread the
word through the school and in the community. We had a lot of teams sign up as teams, it was a great team builder. They also set up yard games so everyone could
socialize and have fun before and after the race. They designed the flyers, t-shirts and mile markers themselves. The last color run we had they had a contest for the
design. We used the HHS cross country course for the race. We ordered the color to throw online, and had the t-shirts made. They had to organize where everyone would be stationed
during the race and they needed color throwers and a race timer.  It was a great time and event.
