About:
All 74 members of the football team and coaches sold “Heroes Week” shirts and promoted our acknowledgement of our heroes all week.
Organizing and selling of shirts and decorating was 6-10 hours total divided up by all the groups.
The selling of shirts helped to raise funds for first responders and all week had “Heroes” come and speak to the team and we provided them with free shirts. We had members of the Fire, Police and other first responders and medical personnel all recognized prior to the varsity football game 10/8.
We celebrated Heroes Night at the varsity football game 10/8 and acknowledged the unselfish acts of others in our everyday world. As a Thank you to all active and retired military, fire, police, Ems, doctors, nurses and other medical workers, athletic trainers and so may more who give of themselves for us each day. Joining the Captains for the coin toss are a few of our own local heroes. Chief Molis (MC Alum) of the Malden Police Department, Chief Sullivan (both his father and son attended MC) of the Malden Fire Department and Colonel Jack Pippy ’88 (Pictures attached)
