About:
Each year, the Marlboro Lions Club hosts their much-anticipated Labor Day Bed Races, a fun and competitive event that brings the community together while raising funds for important causes. Local businesses sponsor the event by making donations, and in return, their names are proudly displayed on the racing beds. But instead of the business owners doing the pushing, our local athletes have stepped in, donating their time and energy to run the races on behalf of the sponsors.
This long-standing tradition has evolved over the years, turning into a lighthearted but competitive event that everyone looks forward to. The partnership between the Marlboro Lions Club and local athletes has made the races both exciting and impactful, with proceeds going toward the Lions Club’s charitable efforts. By supporting many worthy causes through their donations, the Lions Club ensures that the event benefits the entire community.
The annual Labor Day Bed Races not only showcase the athleticism and community spirit of our young athletes but also highlight the importance of giving back in a fun, meaningful way. It’s a tradition that continues to make a difference, year after year.
