About:
Marshfield Boys Hockey is bringing the community together for a cause bigger than the game, teaming up with Harbormen Hockey to raise funds and awareness for Hockey Fights Cancer.
This collaborative effort highlights the power of partnership in high school athletics, as both programs use their platforms to support individuals and families affected by cancer. Through shared messaging and creative outreach, the initiative shows how rivalries fade when teams and communities unite around a common purpose.
Special thanks go to the Harbormen for sharing their graphic to help amplify the message, and to Marshfield High School student Aiden Kielty for producing a video that helped bring the initiative to life. Student involvement like this reflects leadership, creativity, and impact that extend well beyond the ice.
Through this effort, Marshfield Rams Boys Hockey continues to demonstrate that education-based athletics are about more than competition—they are about compassion, teamwork, and making a meaningful difference. All 57 players in the program are participating, with each student-athlete committing to raise funds for the Hockey Fights Cancer initiative.
The fundraising effort will culminate in an outdoor scrimmage against Hingham on Friday, February 20. As a program, Marshfield Boys Hockey has already raised more than $21,000, showcasing the collective impact student-athletes can make when they rally together for a meaningful cause.
