About:
Student leaders at Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School (MVRHS) demonstrated the power of service and community impact through a successful Super Bowl Sunday Food Drive organized by the school’s Honors Society.
The initiative brought the community together to support the Island Food Pantry, collecting an impressive 360 pounds of food along with nearly $2,000 in donations to help local families facing food insecurity.
The drive highlighted how student-led service projects can make a meaningful difference close to home. By organizing the effort around Super Bowl Sunday, students created a timely opportunity for community members to give back while preparing for one of the year’s biggest sporting events.
Through their leadership and commitment to helping others, the Honors Society students showed how young people can identify community needs and take action to support their neighbors. Their work helped strengthen the connection between the school and the broader island community while ensuring that important resources reach those who need them most.
