Student-athletes from Masconomet Regional High School recently spent time giving back to their community by mentoring and coaching younger basketball players.
Members of the girls and boys varsity basketball teams volunteered their time to work with youth athletes, helping guide them through drills, skill development, and teamwork exercises. The event gave younger players the opportunity to learn directly from high school athletes while building excitement for the future of the Masco basketball programs.
Throughout the session, the varsity players served as role models, emphasizing the importance of hard work, sportsmanship, and enjoying the game. The experience also allowed the high school athletes to reflect on the responsibility that comes with leadership both on and off the court.
The day also included a shared program breakfast and lunch, bringing the boys and girls teams together and strengthening the sense of unity within the Masco basketball community.
By connecting with younger athletes and sharing their love for the game, the student-athletes from Masconomet Regional High School demonstrated how sports can help build mentorship, leadership, and community pride.
