About:
The Medfield Girls Volleyball team recently held a special match with all proceeds benefiting the Ellie Fund, a charity dedicated to providing essential support services for breast cancer patients and their families.
This event was more than just a game—it was an opportunity for the community to unite and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by breast cancer. The team captains took the initiative to select the Ellie Fund as the organization to support, and the event successfully raised around $4,000 through the sale of pizza, snacks, cookies, brownies, and a raffle prize.
In addition to fundraising, the team showed their solidarity by wearing special “Dig Pink” shirts, while parents helped create a festive atmosphere by decorating the entire gym. The highlight of the evening was the thrilling “Dig Pink” game against Medway, which went to four sets and resulted in a victory for Medfield.
With 45 athletes participating, the event was an exciting and meaningful night of volleyball, bringing the community together for an important cause.
