About:

My guys are amazing and enjoy getting involved in the youth program especially. We run a clinic in four sessions in the  fall that had 65 boys participating. about 15 were first time players ranging from kindergarten through 7th grade.

Yesterday they gave 3 hours to the youth program for its first event of the year. The high school boys did an amazing job. It can be tough working with 5-8 graders and then pivoting to some really young kids but they make it an excellent experience for the youth players.

Throughout the spring there are opportunities for them to work practices for the youth program and we typically get close to all of our players helping out throughout the year for at least one practice and we go to a practice as a team once as well.

I think it helps build the sense of community and is a great experience for my guys and for the youth players to have the connection with the programs they came from and hopefully one day play for. The feedback I get from the parents is always incredibly positive about how great our boys are with the youth players and its really great when they come watch the high school games. They get really excited when they see a player they connected with throughout the course of the year doing well. (Coach Matt James)
