About:
The Millis Girls Basketball Program is kicking off our 2021-22 season with a fundraiser!
50% of funds will go directly to the Millis Girls Basketball Program. Our goal is to raise money to cover the cost of “Think Pink” t-shirts for the Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams. “Think Pink” is a week dedicated to spreading awareness and raising money for cancer research. All of the TVL girls basketball teams participate in this week, which is typically the last week of January. We would love to provide each of our athletes with the same t-shirt. We also hope to raise money to help defer costs of the traditional end of the year banquet.
50% of funds raised will also go directly to the Jimmy Fund. The Jimmy Fund, established in Boston in 1948, is comprised of community-based fundraising events and other programs that, solely and directly, benefit Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s lifesaving mission to provide compassionate patient care and groundbreaking cancer research for children and adults. The generosity of millions of people in Boston and around the world has helped the Jimmy Fund save countless lives and reduce the burden of cancer for patients and families worldwide.
