About:
We had 13 girls that were able to volunteer that day. The girls helped with registration, raffles, organization and other tasks that were needed out on the course. They helped for 6 hours that day before attending practice later in the afternoon. I have known Matt for a very long time and his cousin is one of my best friends. This was the first annual golf tournament to help support his new Matt Brown Foundation – it was supposed to be held back in July, but due to very inclement weather had to be rescheduled. Due to rescheduling, they were very short on volunteers to help for the new date. The vision for The Matt Brown Foundation is to be a support mechanism for those who have suffered spinal cord injuries but were not as fortunate as him and to assist in bringing much needed equipment and supplies to improve their quality of life. Matt has been such an inspiration to our town, so the chance to give back and support him in his new journey with his foundation was an absolute honor.
