On Friday, Sept. 20, at the home game against Longmeadow, Nashoba Football, Cheer and Nashoba Youth Football collected canned and dry goods for food pantries in the area. The event, organized by the varsity football team, filled multiple boxes with donations, which will benefit vulnerable families in the months to come.
“I thought it would be perfect timing to hold it at a home game and get the community involved and behind the football program in donating to those in need,” said Karen Devine the parent organizer for this event. “It’s a great example for all the student athletes and remind us all to think of others especially in the upcoming months.”
The boxes were organized and delivered to the Hudson and Stow food pantries in the following week by the varsity players.
