The Nashoba Girls Soccer team recently took part in the Alison Murphy Run, an event held in memory of Alison Murphy, a beloved junior at Nashoba Regional High School who tragically passed away in a skiing accident in April 2005. Alison was not only a standout athlete but also a cherished member of the Nashoba girls soccer team.
The annual run brings the community together to honor Alison’s legacy, with all proceeds going to the Alison Murphy Foundation. The foundation supports students within the Lancaster and Nashoba school systems, helping to continue Alison’s spirit of kindness, dedication, and athleticism.
By participating in this event, the girls soccer team pays tribute to one of their own while giving back to the community in a meaningful way. It’s a powerful reminder of how sports can unite us, honor legacies, and make a lasting impact.
