About:
Allie Curtis is a dedicated volunteer within her community, actively supporting several organizations, with TOPSoccer being a notable example. TOPSoccer is a specialized soccer program designed to cater to children with special needs from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Additionally, she takes on the role of a mentor to a child coping with cerebral palsy. Alongside her involvement as a coach at TOPSoccer, Allie commits quality one-on-one time to engage in various activities. These activities encompass playing board games, surprising him with birthday treats, enjoying beach strolls, and creating sandcastles during the summer months.
For the past two holiday seasons, Allie has taken the initiative to sponsor a child through a charitable organization known as Wonderfund. In collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, Wonderfund’s mission is to provide warmth, nourishment, and essential items to those in need during the holiday season each year.
Lastly, but certainly not least, Allie holds a special place in the hearts of aspiring field hockey players at NYFH as a beloved student goalie coach. She serves as an inspiring role model, especially for numerous young players who are drawn to the goalie position, largely influenced by her dedication and expertise.
“I go about life striving to have a constant flow of kindness. Having it recognized and being given an award for it is just the icing on the cake for me.”- Allie Curtis
