About:
Annually both the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams volunteer at the Paddy’s Road Race in Newton.
This year my team volunteered as athlete escorts and partnered up with athletes with disabilities.
This was a 1.1-mile race for people of all abilities. It was really a great day. The girls were incredible with the athletes and were very enthusiastic which spoke to their character.
In the past, the team has also volunteered with Athletics Unlimited of Newton. They have already expressed interest in doing this again this year.
