About:
North Reading Girls Lacrosse continues to demonstrate that their impact goes far beyond the scoreboard—using their platform to grow the game, support important causes, and uplift their community.
This fall, the team hosted a “Try Lacrosse” clinic in partnership with North Reading Youth Lacrosse, welcoming young, first-time players to the sport. Through hands-on instruction, encouragement, and mentorship, the athletes helped inspire the next generation while creating a fun and inclusive environment for future Hornets.
In the spring season, the team once again showed its commitment to something bigger than the game. During their Morgan’s Message Dedication Game, North Reading partnered with Manchester-Essex to raise awareness around student-athlete mental health. The game served as a powerful reminder of the importance of open conversations, support systems, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.
Continuing that mission, the program also hosted a One Love Dedication Game to highlight the importance of healthy relationships and positive, supportive communities. Through these efforts, the team reinforced values of respect, empathy, and accountability both on and off the field.
From growing the game at the youth level to advocating for mental health and positive relationships, North Reading Girls Lacrosse is setting the standard for what it means to be leaders in education-based athletics.
Their dedication to service, leadership, and community impact is truly making a difference.
