On October 1st Norwood Varsity and JV cheer squads participated in Stairs 4 Troops by cheering and supporting the runners as they did the stairs.
We had 25 cheerleaders around the stadium at the top of the stairs cheering and giving the runners that extra help to get up those stairs and keep going.
So many of the runners commented how the team really helps when you want to give up and you look up and the cheerleaders are cheering you on to keep going.
The cheerleaders are placed at the halfway mark till the end of the run. It was great to be out supporting the community. We met many Norwood High Alumni running the stairs.
One in particular turned 60 on September 26th so to celebrate she decided to do Stairs for Troops. She was struggling in the end, but the cheerleaders stayed with her and helped her finish. She was so grateful to them for the help.
