About:

Tonight, our varsity basketball team is hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness Night, as well as Teacher Appreciation night vs. Fontbonne Academy in the NDA gym at 6:30pm.

We will be having a bake sale during the event tonight to raise money for breast cancer research. Before the beginning of the game, we will be hosting a ceremony to recognize some of our teachers here at NDA.

Varsity Basketball members have invited their favorite teacher at NDA to the event and will be giving each teacher a carnation during the ceremony.

On February 19th and 20th, we will be hosting the 5th JBA Classic in honor of Jessica Bradbury Adams, an NDA alumnae and basketball coach who created a lasting impact on the NDA community. Jess lost her battle to breast cancer in December of 2017 at the age of 38. This tournament is a way to continue with her legacy here at NDA and all proceeds from this event go to our Jessica Bradbury Adams Scholarship fund that we have here.

NDA, Bishop Stang, Ursuline Academy and Silver Lake Regional HS will be the teams playing in the tournament this year with the following schedule:

Sunday, February 19th:

Ursuline (home team) vs. Bishop Stang (away team) @ 4pm NDA Gym

NDA (home team) vs. Silver Lake Regional High School (away team) @ 6pm NDA Gym

Monday, February 20th:

Ursuline (home team) vs. Silver Lake (away team) @ 4pm NDA Gym

NDA (home team) vs. Bishop Stang (away team) @ 6pm NDA Gym

The basketball program also hosts the SNAP Program here at NDA on Saturdays where our student-athletes – work with special needs children in the gym to create a love for the sport of basketball.
