The Boys Hockey Team, Boys Lacrosse Team and Girls Lacrosse Team all traveled to Bourne National Cemetery on Saturday. The event is laying wreaths that have been donated on headstones of deceased veterans.
We had about 22 Hockey Players, and the 3 Hockey coaches and Lacrosse had about 14 boys and girls and 2 coaches.
I think the stats are that between 17,000 and 18,000 wreaths were donated and laid out during the day Saturday.
I know the boys and girls were all pretty astounded by the size of the cemetery. Great opportunity for them to give back!
