About:
The Hockey community united for a powerful Hockey Fights Cancer game, showing how the sport can be a meaningful platform for awareness and impact. Led by Sarah Scappattici and her teammates, the event demonstrated that student-athletes can drive change far beyond the ice.
Hosted at Canton Ice House, the special game featured Hockey Fights Cancer–inspired jerseys worn as a visible reminder that the night was about more than the final score. Fans supported the mission through game admission, with all proceeds donated to The Reo Todesca Memorial Foundation, an organization dedicated to funding cancer research and supporting families affected by the disease.
Admission granted access to all games throughout the day, and additional donations from supporters who were unable to attend helped extend the reach and impact of the fundraiser.
As a co-op program bringing together student-athletes from Stoughton, Attleboro, and Sharon, the team exemplified collaboration, leadership, and compassion. Hockey Fights Cancer nights like this reflect the true spirit of Stoughton Athletics—when communities come together around a shared purpose, they can make a lasting difference in the fight against cancer.
