About:
On October 28, Shrewsbury High School Athletics took a moment to honor the dedication and commitment of the town’s First Responders. These heroes not only keep the Shrewsbury community safe but also play an active role in the lives of SHS student-athletes. Many First Responders volunteer their time as coaches, sharing their experience, leadership, and mentorship with young athletes.
At the heart of this connection is Shrewsbury’s School Resource Officer (SRO), who is deeply involved with the Athletics program. The SRO, alongside other First Responders who volunteer as coaches, has built strong bonds with students, helping them both on the field and off, and providing a positive example of community leadership.
Shrewsbury Athletics is grateful to all the First Responders who contribute to the school and town, reminding everyone of the lasting impact that these individuals have not only in emergencies but in everyday acts of mentorship and guidance. The SHS community is fortunate to have such dedicated role models inspiring the next generation.
