About:
For our game today, September 21st, we partnered with The American Cancer Society to fundraise money as we take on our rival team, Marblehead. There is a student in our community named Ruby and she has been battling cancer. She joined us last season because we played a game in her honor, she was able to be an honorary captain, and do our starting coin flip. Our game today is dedicated to Ruby! Our team is so excited to have her back at today’s game!
My Brother’s Table is a local food distribution center in Lynn MA, the past two seasons our players have packed lunches and donated them to My Brother’s Table. We will be doing this again this coming Monday thanks to a local organization named the Jauron Family Foundation who will be providing us with the food products to make lunches.
Northeast Arch is a non-profit organization in our community and they host a yearly road race to help fund programs for those who are struggling with emotional and cognitive disabilities. Our team has volunteered at the race and helped the organization run the race.
On October 2nd, our team will be visiting The Swampscott Senior Center to serve and prepare members of the center dinner, play a game of trivia, and more! This is a community service event that we love to participate in and both the players and the seniors leave the night having created new connections with members of our community.
