Student athletes were invited to write a letter to a teacher explaining why they wanted to recognize them for teacher appreciation day. We will be recognizing two teachers each day, the teachers are given a certificate including a quote from the student’s letter, the letter and a coffee mug filled with a gift certificate and some candy. Traditionally the SAAC invites teachers to a game and the teachers are recognized publicly as part of a ceremony at half time, but this year that was not possible, so they adapted it to do this way.
