The North High boys’ basketball team clinches the Division 1 state championship in memory of their late teammate, Carl-Hens Beliard, who tragically passed away at 18. Throughout the season, they dedicated their games to him, wearing his jersey number and carrying his spirit with them. Despite the challenges, they rallied together, overcame a 12-point deficit, and secured their second consecutive state title. The victory was emotional, with players and coaches expressing their deep connection to Beliard and their joy in honoring him.
